E-safety

At Westlands First School,  we take the safety of our children very seriously.  The pace of technology in today’s world is incredibly rapid so E-Safety is incredibly important.  At Westlands, we teach our children about both the benefits and dangers of using modern technology, providing them with a range of strategies for how to keep themselves and others safe when using it.

Useful Links And Documents

Please find below some useful links for parents to support your children and keep them safe online. If you ever have any questions or queries about E-Safety and would like some help or advice, please do not hesitate to contact us.

You will find our E-Safety policy on the Policies page of the website and uploaded below.  It is very important to us that parents and carers have an opportunity to contribute to our policies, so if you would like to make any suggestions or have any feedback about the policy, please email the school office.

Netaware (https://www.net-aware.org.uk/) is a website run by the NSPCC and has lots of useful help and advice.  It will keep you fully informed about what apps and social media your children are using, the potential risks and it will also help you to set the relevant parental controls.
