What should my child expect from immediate remote education in the first day or two of pupils being sent home?
Pupils may be given standalone tasks to complete or small research based projects. They will be expected to read.
Following the first few days of remote education, will my child be taught broadly the same curriculum as they would if they were in school? We teach a similar curriculum remotely as we do in school wherever possible and appropriate. However, we have needed to make some adaptations in some subjects. For example, some subjects may be better taught in school where the appropriate resources are available – eg science experiments, so what is taught may differ from the published long term plan.
Where there are some children working in school and some children learning remotely, the curriculum will be the same for both.
